This is because scanning with the enlarger can only be performed in "flatbed" mode, not in "transparency" mode. The light source of the scanner would still be turned on.But I can easily disable the color profile from the scanner driver and recompile it. The colors would be off, due to the color profile of the scanner.The colors would be later adjusted in GIMP. The light source of the enlarger is inappropriate, but it could be replaced with a white LED or something adjustable.The contrast would be reduced, but probably only a little. But this should be mitigated by only enlarging a little, and by doing multiple scans of different parts of the frame. The scanner sensor expects parallel light, instead of the cone of light projected by the enlarger.I was wondering if putting the scanner under an enlarger would add more details and increase sharpness, because there will be a larger image to scan. I have an Epson v370, which scans negatives at a basic quality.
